Adrian Beggan MBA, MSc, MA, BSc, ADip Director, Sales and Market Intelligence, Google
Adrian presently works as a Director for Google, based in Dublin, where he is charged with implementing a common sales and marketing targeting platform for the EMEA region. Directly prior to this, he was director of business intelligence with Dell for the EMEA region, his 7 year career at Dell culminated in establishing EMEA as the global template for the marketing database and business intelligence function.
During his 14 year career, Adrian has plotted a course to maximise his potential to work for organisations who seek to maximise the integration of Sales and Marketing targeting through the use of data and to ultimately be at the forefront of an organisations strategy and its implementation in this field. He has actively sought and served out time in the IT, Sales, Marketing and Finance functions. He believes this has been critical to ensuring maximum impact / value can be generated and leveraged from the business analysis functions he has lead over the last 7 years. It is an ethos he believes all those within the business analyst profession should embrace at some level, not only to move beyond the traditional business analyst type role, but to keep apace with the new paradigm evolving around the business analyst function, which he sees as only gathering momentum within the current economic climate.
His early career included pivotal periods with Allied Irish Bank and Guinness Ireland in business / marketing analyst roles, where his organisational leadership was actively engaged in establishing integrated execution of sales & marketing actions through data.
A graduate of TCD, UCD and DIT he is presently engaged in postgraduate studies at Harvard. He is a strong advocate of ongoing education for both personal and professional development and believes that "in order to have a career driven by design and not by chance all leaders must actively engage in developing and promoting a culture within their teams and organisations to have dynamic education paths for those working in the business analyst field".
